The Guard Gloves Instagram page was founded by Elizabeth Anderson in April of 2020 as an outlet to post colorguard content as well as allow others to feature their skills. As the page grew admin Melanie Thompson joined the staff and took on partial responsibilities of the page due to its immense success and need for more attention and upkeep.

Over time the page featured many young colorguard students and their tricks or choreo, tips and tricks and much more. Succeeding and growing for over 4 years.

During Spring of 2023, the page was getting little traffic compared to previously due to life and jobs, which provided the idea for growth in a new direction. This produced the idea for a website that could provide resources to all people across the globe that had an interest in colorguard and would be accessible at all times, instead of simply when we were free. Whether it be private lesson teachers, tricks and tosses or even tips for future directors, we wanted to be able to provide a space that was able to harbor to all needs, at all times, regardless of time zone, financial circumstance or schedules. 

Our company goal is to provide free resources and centralized ease to all people who want to participate in the colorguard world from the beginner level to the director level. We aim to make it accessible, welcoming, and friendly to all people and communities and we strive to be able to show others why this sport is one that is unique and life changing. 

We both feel the colorguard world has helped us grow as people and mature into who we are today, as well as give us a love that no other sport could provide, and we can't wait to help all of you find that love.
